First the good.

First the good. Tressen and Elijah were great -- they even did two video calls so I could see and hear the truck ahead of time. Processing paperwork at the dealer went smoothly and my title was on the way to me in about two weeks after purchase. Now for the not so good. This was my first internet used truck purchase and I flew from Virginia to Denver to pick up the truck. I bought a 2019 RAM 1500 Limited. In order to make the deal happen, I had to wire funds up front. I needed to begin my return trip so I wan under a time constraint to get on the road. Although the vehicle was generally clean, I should have insisted on having certain parts of the truck cleaned again. They tried to take care of the significant amount of orange dirt in engine bay but it still needed more cleaning. Later (the next day), I discovered orange dirt in the crevices of all of the door frames, dirt in the exterior detail work like the RAM logo, dirt encrusted on the inside of the wheel rims and dirt embedded in the sound proofing around the windows...it took me two hours to get it cleaned up. I should have caught the additional orange dirt when I inspected the vehicle, but at the same time, I would think a higher end car dealer would have caught it as well. Since I was driving back to Virginia, I took my truck to a RAM dealer the same day I bought it - it needed an oil change (I expected that) and the drive train fluids changed (unexpected). Ugh - $700+ bill right after I bought the truck. Again, it's bad on me for not asking more specifics, but I would think a high end dealer would know the status of maintenance items before they sell the vehicle. Hindsight being 20/20, I would have either offered less money to purchase or insisted certain items were fixed before I left the lot. To sum up: very friendly sales staff, but upon closer inspection I was underwhelmed with the cleanliness and maintenance status of the vehicle. To be fair, I should have insisted more than I did while I was at the dealer, but at the same time I expected a bit more from a Jaguar/Land Rover dealer.

When I didn’t buy a car from them but still needed some support, they told me that people often “buy cheaper cars but expect service at the dealer.” They make no effort to make you feel at home. I will not have my new RR serviced at this dealership even though it is the closest to my house.
