What are the Apple CarPlay Apps?

Apple CarPlay allows you to stay connected to your life while keeping your hands on the wheel. While on the roads around Denver, drivers can connect their iPhones and use them to receive turn-by-turn directions, make phone calls, listen to music, or send and receive text messages. Load up these Apple CarPlay apps during your commute:

  • Phone: Favorites, Recents, Contacts, Keypad, Voicemail
  • Music and Podcasts: Apple Music
  • Maps: Search, POI’s, Navigation, Nearby, Lane Guidance, ETA sharing
  • Messages: Create, read, reply over Siri
  • News+: Audio stories from Apple News
  • Now Playing: Show audio content from any iPhone app
  • Books: Play audiobooks
  • Calendar: View current and upcoming events, including addresses

How to Set Up Apple CarPlay

  1. Check the list of Land Rover that support Apple CarPlay to find your model. Keep in mind that CarPlay doesn’t work in every region
  2. Start your vehicle to ensure that Siri is turned on.
  3. Connect your iPhone to your Land Rover vehicle.
    1. Wired CarPlay: Plug your iPhone into your car via a USB cable. The port is typically labeled with a CarPlay or smartphone icon.
    2. Wireless CarPlay: Set your radio to Bluetooth® or wireless mode, then press and hold the voice-command button on the steering wheel. Using your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay, then tap available cars, and select your vehicle.

If you have any questions, refer to your owner’s manual for additional information.

Updating Apple CarPlay

After you’ve set up Apple CarPlay, you may occasionally need to update the system. Here are simple steps to follow:

  • Go to Settings > General, and tap CarPlay.
  • Choose your car, truck, or SUV.
  • If you want to add or delete anything, this is the chance to do that. You can easily delete icons or drag icons to place them in an order that works for you.
